Composition and Use
Key Composition
A water-soluble blend primarily composed of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Select formulations are further supplemented with polyols such as glycerol and propylene glycol.

Specially engineered to provide structural tissue support and section protection throughout the cryosectioning workflow.
Tissue Support Performance
Boosts tissue continuity during frozen sectioning, effectively reducing wrinkling, folding and sample fragmentation.

Application Scenarios
Widely used in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), rapid clinical pathological staining and diagnosis, in situ hybridization (ISH) and a broad range of molecular pathology assays.
Procedure
Tissue Soaking: Remove tissue blocks from sucrose solution, place in a 1:1 mixture of 20 g/L sucrose and OCT embedding medium, and soak at room temperature for 2 hours.
Embedding: Transfer to pure OCT embedding medium and soak at room temperature for 4–6 hours; fresh embedding medium can be replaced if necessary.
Section Storage: Section with a cryostat (typically at -22°C) at a thickness of approximately 10 μm. Mount sections on glass slides and store at -20°C in a refrigerator.
