Composition and Applications
Main ingredients: a water-soluble mixture of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA).
Core application: specifically designed for tissue support and section protection during frozen section procedures.
Tissue support: enhances tissue continuity during frozen section, reducing wrinkling and fragmentation.
Water-soluble design: dissolves in water during float-out, adding no background interference to subsequent staining.
Procedure
1. Maintain the cryostat chamber temperature within the range of -25°C to -10°C.
2. Apply a thin, even layer of OCT embedding compound onto the specimen disc. Place the tissue sample on the disc and gently press down to expel air bubbles beneath the tissue.
3. Add more OCT embedding compound to fully cover the tissue. Freeze following standard frozen embedding procedures until the tissue and embedding compound are completely frozen and solid.
4. Note: This product features a water-soluble formula that completely dissolves in aqueous staining solutions, leaving no background residue.

Storage:
- Store sealed and unopened at 15°C to 30°C, away from direct sunlight and extreme low-temperature environments.
- Keep the container tightly closed after each use to prevent evaporation and contamination.
- Do not refrigerate or freeze the product before embedding.
Precautions:
- Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with running water immediately.
- Use in a well-ventilated area. Do not inhale vapors or aerosols.
